Edit: There's a risk. When one files a cryptocurrency tax form, and say, no one wants to buy some of their cryptocurrency so that they can pay taxes on the rest, that could discourage adoption because unlike being allowed to take your money out of the bank unless they're bankrupt or physically having cash, no one owes anyone a cryptocurrency transaction.
